FONDAZIONE CARLO MENDOZZI ETS aims to be the hub of research, identification and selection of deserving young people, whose spontaneous applications will be examined annually in December by the technical-scientific committee of the same, in order to provide a concrete contribution to their support.
In full compliance with the mission of the Carlo Mendozzi ETS Foundation, which also aims to be a point of reference and support for the new generation of talented young people with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a set of shared values will be highlighted, which can act as a link in the generational transition between the past era of the "Self Made Man", represented by Carlo Mendozzi, and the current young entrepreneurship; a special prize will go to a student of a State or Private Hotel Institute in the last year of the course, or of a professional and private pastry school (minimum age 18 , maximum age 20) who will have distinguished himself for an innovative idea.
For this purpose, the second edition of the thematic Self m-AID award aimed at the ice cream and pastry sector is announced for 2024, with the awarding of the following prizes in exchange:
> 5.000,00€ for 1st Place
> 2.500,00€ for 2nd Place
> 1.500,00€ for 3rd Place
> 1.000,00€ for the Young Talent (student)
The prizes indicated will be tailor-made, in the sense that the type of tangible or intangible asset most suited to their professionalism will be agreed with the winners.
The inclusion criteria of the call will be the examination of those candidates who have distinguished themselves in the two-year period 2023-2024 for having created an activity or a product characterized by at least one or more of the following qualities:
1) technological innovation
2) originality of the project or product
3) ethics and sustainability
4) vision of the future
5) managerial skills 6) entrepreneurial spirit
These qualities will be specifically expressed in the ice cream and pastry sector, and participants may be legal entities belonging for example to small businesses in innovative machinery, business communication in the sector, ice cream, production and distribution of raw materials or they may also be artisans and agencies. Only the first four characteristics will be included in the selection of the winner of the Young Talent category.
